needs analyses to design and teach a course in Communication Skills

Technology Centre, Mogri (Gujarat). Have trained their instructors
in Communication Skills in English, designed and coordinated the
implementation of a need-based Communication Skills in English Course
for the trainees enrolled on their various programmes. 1999 onward.

Honorary Consultant in English Language, Literature and Pedagogy.
Sarvodaya Kelavani Samaj, Rajkot. Often consulted in the recruitment
and training of staff involved in teaching English in their various
institutions, particularly their Atmiya Institute of Technology
and Science and Virani Science College (June 2003 Onward).

1. Honorary Faculty, GE-Apar, Nadiad. Teamed with colleagues in
the Department to design a course to train the mid-rung managers
in the organisation in Communication Skills in English in 1992-93.

Honorary Faculty, Institute of Rural Management, Anand. Assisted
them by designing and teaching a course in Communication Skills
in English to their OYP Trainees in 1993.

One of the Honorary Deputy Directors, H M Patel Career Development
Centre (CDC), Vallabh Vidyanagar, Gujarat (1995 to 31.3.2001). Provided
assistance in planning and administration of the Centre.

Coordinator, English Studies, CDC, Vallabh Vidyanagar. Overall responsibility
for the English Section on the training programmes offered: UPSC-TP,
GPSC-TP, MBA-ETP, BBA-ETP, and CSE-TP. Designed afresh and teaching
a need-based Communication Skills in English – Training Programme
(CSE-TP) year after year, except in 1996-97.

Coordinator, (a) BVM-CDC CSE Project for Engineers, and (b) the
KKV-CDC CSE Project for Girl Students; conducted an elaborate needs
analyses to design and teach a need-based Communication Skills in
English (CSE) for and on behalf of the CDC, Vallabh Vidyanagar in

Visits Abroad
Visited the UK between 20 September 1988 and 1 July 1989 to do an
MA in Applied Linguistics at the University of Reading (UK) under
the Overseas Development Agency (UK)-Sponsored TCTP Scheme administered
by the British Council.
