for Nursery and Primary Education, losing two precious years in
1963-65 in fighting a life-threatening attack of meningitis and
typhoid.

that was then based on a scale of 0-6. Secured the top position.

International Award
One of the 9 scholars selected from the country in 1988 under the
Overseas Development Agency (UK)-funded Technical Cooperation Training
Programme Scheme administered by the British Council in India but
the only to be selected directly by the British Council Headquarters
in London by waiving the requirement of a PGDTE of CIEFL (Hyderabad)
and an interview by their office in India to do an MA in Applied
Linguistics at the University of Reading (UK) between 20 September
1988 and 1 July 1989.

Award
“Bharat Jyoti Award” and Certificate of Excellence conferred by
India International Friendship Society, New Delhi on 6 May 2006.
